We go from the writer of the new Black Panther to one of the artists! Brian Stelfreeze has been in the industry for quite a while, making his mark in the big Two, as well as indie publishers. Brian Stelfreeze
Painter, Penciller, Inker, Colorist
Stelfreeze started his career in the early ’80s, and quickly became known as a solid cover artist to call on. I first encountered his work on the Shadow Of The Bat series that DC produced, and his work is pretty exceptional, especially for the time. He did over 50 covers for that series, as well as his work as the artist on the series CyCops (which I had a hell of a time finding information on).
He’s also done plenty of good work on more modern Marvel books, such as the aforementioned Black Panther and Domino. His main job these days is as the art director of 12 Gauge Comics, who do a number of presumably awesome books (full disclosure, I haven’t read any, but I think I might pick up Plastic).
